August 2, 2022 – The Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) invites you to join us for the 8th annual Crime is Toast – Breakfast with the Chief

Abbotsford is recognized nationally for its generosity, and the APF is grateful to the many Abbotsford citizens and businesses who generously donate to the Abbotsford Police Foundation each year to help fund AbbyPD initiatives. Since 2005 the APF has raised over $500,000 and received immeasurable value through in-kind in contributions. All funds raised help support AbbyPD community policing initiatives, programs and the purchase of specialized equipment.

APF President Kevin Boonstra notes “for the past 17 years, the Abbotsford Police Foundation has been helping connect police with our community and funding engaging AbbyPD projects and programs. None of this would have been possible without your generosity. We want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our community. Your continued support will help ensure crucial community policing initiatives – such as Youth Making Positive Choices; and the purchase of specialized equipment like the Training Simulator, Kevlar vests for the K9s, John Deere Gator, Drone, Cst. Cuffs AbbyPD Mascot and the Vintage Police Cruiser – continue.” Boonstra went on to say “We’re excited to welcome you in person this year!”

“On behalf of all the men and women of the AbbyPD, I would like to personally thank each of you who have generously donated to help make these programs and initiatives possible. Your generosity translates to new tools to assist our members in their day-to-day work. Thank you for your support,” commented Chief Constable Mike Serr. “We invite you to join us for Crime is Toast – Breakfast with the Chief. I’m looking forward to sharing information with you about the work of the department, and providing insight into the work of our sworn and civilian members as we come together to celebrate ‘Strength in Community’. We hope you’ll set aside the time to join us. I look forward to seeing you there.”
