Student-led Positive Choices Campaign

Throughout March students in Abbotsford have been researching, strategizing, and creating engaging marketing pieces designed to encourage their peers to make positive decisions, steering clear of drugs.

With the recent rise in Fentanyl overdoses it is more important than ever to bring awareness of the dangers of drug use and educate students on how to make safe decisions. The APD Youth Making Positive Choices program is a peer-to-peer initiative where students at schools throughout the community create posters and videos designed to teach youth in how to resist doing drugs and make good life choices.

A VIP judging panel will be meeting early in April. Winning entries being awarded and highlighted during a special Parent Forum on April 19. Winning entries will be featured throughout the community and local schools.
