FAQ
what is "Trees of hope"?
Trees of Hope is a community event that provides local businesses the opportunity to share in the spirit of giving during the holiday season. This is a fantastic opportunity to ‘brand’ a Christmas tree to showcase your business, as well as support the Abbotsford Police Foundation.
When do We set up our tree?
The decorating party will take place on Wednesday, November 23rd, from 7 – 9pm in the Food Court.
What kind of tree do we get?
Sponsors are provided with an artificial pre-lit Tree (20 trees available). You may bring in your own tree (max. 7 ft high/ 3.5 ft wide with lights). Please do not use glass ornaments to decorate your tree.
How will people know which tree is ours?
Signage will be provided with your businesses name and/or logo and placed on your tree for easy identification of the tree’s sponsor. High resolution files required.
Who supplies the decorations?
All decorations are supplied by the sponsor of the tree. We also recommend that you bring a step ladder for easier, and safer access to decorate the top of your tree.
When do we take down our tree?
Tree take down will take place on December 28, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Who decorates the trees?
We encourage all sponsors to come and decorate their trees. This is a great team building exercise and an awesome way to get into the holiday spirit. But if you don’t have time to decorate your tree, volunteers are happy to help out! For a small fee of $100 we will decorate your tree (includes take down). All you need to do is supply your own decorations.
Can my children participate?
This is a family friendly event. Treats and light refreshments will be available, as well as a visit from Santa!
